Cellular Softening & Balancing Lotion by La Prairie (3/5)
The scent of this is heavenly and it is a pretty pink tonic colour in a solid glass bottle. The look works and the toner is refreshing. It needs to be used with cotton wool and I actually prefer toning sprays. They add more hydration. Ingredients include water, glycerin, witch hazel (in mild form for cleansing), spirulina extract, ginseng root extract, honeysuckle and calendula; the list is interesting and the mix certainly smells lovely. My only hesitation is that it is a fraction too greasy, I can still feel it on the skin after the cotton wool treatment. I therefore splash my face with water after I use it. I don’t feel that I want to put creams and make up on top if the bottom layer doesn’t feel fresh enough.
It was lovely when I experienced it in a facial but for regular use, not astringent but a fraction less moisturising. I don’t want to feel a moisture film left after a toner, as it is part of the cleansing process; I prefer to leave the moisturising for the serum and moisturiser. For ladies who like moisturising toners this may be the one to try. It is meant to soften and moisturise the skin.
