Brazilian Propolis Mist, Epicuren (3/5)

This is a refreshing toning spray from this natural Californian brand. For all skin types, it is perfect to use after cleansing to close the pores before moisturising. Keep your eyes tightly shut as this mist can sting a little otherwise.The propolis ingredient gives this product an acquired scent, not everyone will take to the smell.

I found it quite a strong but clean scent, uniform to all propolis products. Propolis is a mixture that bees gather from their usual sources (flowers, buds, sap) and they cleverly use it as a glue for their hives, like bees wax. Anyone with an allergy to bees should seek medical advice before trying any product with propolis in it, the outcome may be that you cannot use it at all. The benefits for the non-allergic are good. Firming, balancing and conditioning for the skin, this ingredient has been used in medicine for centuries so it must be worth it!
