Brain Back
Do you ever feel like you are suffering from a 'mummy brain'?
You might very well be! A woman's brain is significantly different
from that of a man. What's more, further changes are triggered in
our grey matter during pregnancy, resulting in a significant
alteration to the way that we process our thoughts.
Do you….
misplace your mobile phone and your car keys on a regular
basis?
put the milk in the cupboard and cereal in the fridge?
before finishing a sentence, need to be reminded of what you were
saying?
completely forget somebody's name when just introduced?
During pregnancy there are times you may feel you are
losing your mind; well in some ways you are, possibly up to 5
per cent! There is research to back this up.
Luckily, there is hope, thanks to a variety of activities that
can help us to manage and regain our brainpower.
As a mother you are making life and death decisions every day. Are the children going to have bicycles? Can they go to the shops or cross the road alone? Yet with only your own judgment and knowledge to go by, the decision may take five seconds or less.
